I’m so glad I subscribed to you ladies! I love watching your Military
Monday videos they’re really helpful and informative, I can really relate
to them! My husband is Navy & we recently moved to San Diego & we’re really
enjoying it. I’m still trying to learn more about military life and these
videos answer a lot of questions I have. Thank you for all that you do!

My hubby mentioned these cuts…making it hard to get promoted & soldiers
left & right getting kicked out for not passing pt tests etc….sucks! I
    feel exactly how y’all feel….no words…

They’ve been trying to downsize the military in general.. which wouldn’t be
TOO bad IF they weren’t trying to find people to kick out to make room to
get new recruits in. I understand if someone isn’t doing their job then
like any job… fired! But people who are great workers or beneficial to
their shop etc…. are getting PTS’d out. My husband had to volunteer for
sea duty to “bypass” PTS after living away from me for 3 1/2 years (our
entire marriage) in another country.. And then back on cruise once i moved
to be with him… He’s supposed to be on shore right now :/ but the fear of
not getting approved made us take an even harder path..

My husband has served in the Marines, and is currently in the Air Force. He
has been in for 17 years! 10 years enlisted and 7 years commissioned
Officer. They are cutting his career field and he might get kicked out with
no retirement. It is SO frustrating!! I feel for all our military family
who are facing these cuts. Thank you for Military Mondays!!

For what I’ve heard and what my husband has been told. Is that the Air
Force wants to cut out people good or bad. What I don’t understand is my
husbands job is one of the highest demanding jobs in the Air Force yet they
contract most of it out. Doesn’t make sense to me at all. A wise retired
civilian my husband works with told him to try to figure out our backup
plan and that scares new enough. Cause like you guys even said. It won’t be
just my husband trying to find a job it will be thousands. And they won’t
get any money from the government at all. Just stressful all around. I also
heard all commissarys will be gone by 2016 ): Which makes me sad as well.
Just wish the government didn’t put military & their families on the back
    burner.

ya ladys lets cut back on fuel costs. cut back on training as long as we
    keep your Commissary open
why does the Military exist? many reasons. Creating jobs is not one of
    them.

The budget cuts are definitely intimidating. My husband is in the Army and
I have had trouble finding a job as a teacher so we really depend on his
income. The Army threatened to kick him out because he failed a surprise PT
test they gave him a day after returning from our honeymoon. Luckily he was
able to pass a run two weeks later. We’re most afraid of the cut to BAH. We
selected our home because it was $200 under BAH so we had money for
utilities. If they cut it further we may have to consider a move. We’ve
also heard about cuts to dependent mental health care. I’m sorry but if
you’re going to make me move thousands of miles away from my family and
deploy my husband 6 weeks later, I should be entitled to therapy. Otherwise
you are doing a great disservice to military families. Still waiting for my
husband to come home, so I’ll definitely be watching more of your videos.
Thanks for giving a face to the smart, independent military wife :)

My hubby is in the enlistment process for Navy at the moment and I have
been looking for as much information as I possibly can. Your videos are not
only entertaining but encouraging. The first video of yours I watch you
made a Doctor Who reference and I was sold. Thanks for sharing this
information and making great videos! Maybe we will end up meeting one day
if we were ever stationed together. Much love!!
