As always, you put out great videos! Glad I subscribed to your channel!
Keep up the great work. If I might make a suggestion, you ever consider
doing review for discount hats, similar to a Tilley hat? I’m on a budget
right now being that I dropped nearly $500 on fixing the brakes on my
truck. Just an idea. There are some Tilley like hats at Walmart (*Gasp* I
know, that corporate machine!). Just an idea. Stay safe!

Great video. This is a subject ive been thinking a lit about lately. Well
presented. Schrade is really putting out some solid gear.

  3. James Moreau says

Are you going to keep putting videos like this out where you built out a
    whole kit on a budget?

Hey wingman, how about a kid related one, when I was younger my outdoor
gear was all scrounged or Christmas presents, I was lucky emough to have my
gramps old gear, but getting into the outdoors fir multiple overnighter is
tough for a teen, and I think you’d be the perfect guy, to give them some
    pointers ?

Great vid, but just to throw it out there for the guy’s and gals that don’t
like a false edge knife the schf10 is basically the same knife without a
false edge wich I prefer for batoning and it’s only a couple dollars more
but still under $40! Keep up the great vids wingman!

  7. Donald Barkley says

Boy am I an idiot lol I just checked my schf10 and it has a false edge the
only difference I can see is the handle the 10 has micarta scales where the
26 has tpe scales sorry for the mix up folks!

  8. Ryan Lee says

i still think that the SCHF9 is better than this one.. and this axe is
another schrade product that i will own.. soon.. hopefully.. =D

  9. Jake Riethmeier says

Man I know that I am supposed to be a guy that looks for more tactical
looking stuff given my background. But For a camp axe I got a true temper
true american drop forged hardware store axe. Also a Condor Kephart knife.
    (I have a mora 2 and Buck 110 also) And a Sierra saw. No I don’t have a
sweet Andy Tran blade and a Wetterlings, but my stuff works. There really
is no excuse NOT to go in the woods if you want to. The Buck 110 is
something I dreamed about whenever I was a scout many years ago I know it
ain’t all of what todays blades are and it’s heavy but dreams don’t die
easy man. I can see why a fella would get these 2 tools. totally.

  10. Lt Survival says

Once again you put up a fine review. Many people are on a budget and they
should not stay away from camping and going to the Woods. Even if they have
to do it on the cheap side, beside the tent, they can get away with cheap
stuff at first and upgrade as you go. Great review of great simple
    products. Thanks for sharing.

  11. Eat Carbs says

I made a series Dirt Time on a Budget on my channel. I added a Mora as my
blade since I had a Condor parang as my main heavy blade.
    Thanks for the video

everyone for all your channel support.

  13. Survival On Purpose says

Great job on showcasing a budget bushcraft kit, Jon. I agree that the
SCHF26 is a really good knife for under $40. It is an excellent chopper.
(it throws pretty well too). Thanks, – Bryan

  14. Buckhorn Outdoors says

I would love to win the schk1 . it would be such a perfect knife for what I
do . it will help a lot better getting through brush . because it is not as
big as a machete and not as small as a knife so its perfect thanks for
    doing the give away dude

  15. Jack Bailey says

been lookin for an axe this one looks pretty nice, but i wish they make
one with a hickory handle i don’t think it would change price and still
keep it at a budget price, also the knife looks very nice also, looks very
much like the schf10 i have, Schrade has steped it up quite a bit and
are making some awesome products. good video.

  16. Mark Rainsford says

Great video. If I was to pick a knife I would go with one that was scandi
grind (for ease of sharpening) and if I needed to keep the price down I
would go with the condor bushlore. I would of picked the exact same axe
though but unfortunately its quite hard to get the scaxe2l in ireland so
you can only really get the hatchet. Anyway great video and am definitely
    subscribing
